WorldEd Foundation is excited to spotlight Group Rainbow — a creative and inspiring team from Eryaman Şehit Okan Koç Anatolian Imam Hatip High School in Turkey, guided by their coordinator Sema Erdem. The team includes three talented students: Yiğit Efe Akbulut (15), Almira Nisa Ürün (15), and Zeynep Naz Merdim (15).
As part of Milestone 1: My Story, My School, Our Voice, Group Rainbow introduced their school and shared their vision for unity through differences. Their chosen project — “Rainbow Colors, We Are Strong in Our Differences” — is a beautiful symbol of inclusivity and togetherness.
🌈 About the Activity: Students will hand-paint colored cardboards, combining them to form a large rainbow. This rainbow will be proudly displayed on a school wall, decorated with balloons and messages of inclusivity. Both students and staff will be invited to participate and reflect on the importance of diversity, unity, and belonging.
✨ Why It Matters:The rainbow represents the idea that differences make us stronger when they come together. Just as each color adds to the beauty of the rainbow, every student and teacher contributes to the strength of the community.
👏 Congratulations to Yiğit, Almira, and Zeynep for their creativity, leadership, and dedication to promoting belonging. Group Rainbow is a shining example of how youth can inspire their schools to embrace inclusivity and celebrate unity through diversity.
