WorldEd Foundation is proud to recognize Fatoumata Adama Diallo, one of our passionate and driven Community Coordinators in the Parent-Led Mental Health Advocacy Training, developed in collaboration with HAN University’s International Social Work students.

As a Master’s student in Public Health, Fatoumata is deeply committed to promoting mental well-being in her community. On April 25th, 2025, she organized and facilitated a powerful training session at the FIFA Football Academy in Guinea, bringing together parents, educators, and young people to discuss the importance of mental health and the role families play in early support and advocacy.

Training Highlights:

  • Introduced the concept of mental health and broke down stigmas commonly associated with it.

  • Educated parents on recognizing behavioral signs and emotional changes in children.

  • Encouraged open dialogue through roleplay exercises and real-life examples

  • Emphasized coping techniques and community-based resources for mental health support.

Fatoumata’s participants expressed gratitude for the training, with many parents acknowledging how vital it is to listen to their children more intentionally and take mental health seriously within the home.

Fatoumata’s Reflection: “This training helped strengthen the bond between parents and children, and empowered parents to respond with empathy, patience, and knowledge. It’s a step forward in making mental health a household conversation.”

Thank you, Fatoumata, for your outstanding work and your dedication to public health. Your leadership in Guinea continues to inspire change from the ground up!
