Today, on April 1st, the WorldEd Foundation in collaboration with Han University, International Social Work students are thrilled to officially launch the Parent-Led Mental Health Advocacy Training! This groundbreaking initiative, in collaboration with HAN University’s International Social Work students, aims to equip parents with the tools and knowledge to recognize mental health issues, provide support, and advocate for accessible mental health services within their communities.
At the heart of this initiative are our dedicated Community Coordinators, individuals who have stepped up to lead and champion mental health advocacy where it matters most. These incredible coordinators will work directly with parents, empowering them to take charge of mental well-being within their families and communities.
Meet Our Community Coordinators:
Adeoti Adeniran, Nigeria
Fatoumata Adama Diallo, Guinea
Matthew Egwu, Nigeria
Tirngo Dinku Abeje, Ethiopia
Each of these coordinators brings unique passion, experience, and commitment to fostering a culture of awareness, support, and change. Their work will create ripple effects, ensuring that mental health is no longer a taboo but a well-supported and open conversation within families.
Why This Training Matters
Mental health is often overlooked in many communities, leaving individuals and families without the necessary support. By equipping parents with knowledge and skills, we are creating sustainable, long-term change—one household at a time. This initiative does not just train coordinators; it builds a movement of awareness, empathy, and action that will uplift generations to come.
To our incredible Community Coordinators—thank you for your leadership and commitment. To the parents who will engage in this training—your courage to learn and advocate for mental well-being will strengthen not just your families, but your entire community. And to all who support this mission—together, we can break the stigma and ensure that mental health resources and conversations are accessible to all.
This is just the beginning. Let’s create impact, empower voices, and advocate for mental well-being—together!
