Our Global Table: Celebrating Jawatha Private School – Connecting Cultures Through Food!
A Cultural Cuisine Exchange School Recognition Feature | WorldEd Foundation
Food has a wonderful way of bringing people together, telling stories, and creating opportunities to understand cultures beyond our own.
As part of our Our Global Table storytelling series, WorldEd Foundation is delighted to recognize Jawatha Private School in Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia, for its participation and collaboration in the Cultural Cuisine Exchange 2026.
Through this international educational initiative, students were invited to explore cultural diversity through food, exchange recipes with international peers, recreate a dish from another culture, and share what they discovered along the way.
Celebrating Our School Collaborator
We extend our sincere appreciation to Jawatha Private School for being part of this international experience and supporting opportunities for students to develop cultural awareness, curiosity, and global connections.
A special thank-you goes to Jouhaida Alrawi, Director of Education and Development and Cultural Cuisine Exchange Coordinator, for her guidance, coordination, and support throughout the project.
The involvement of committed educators and school coordinators makes international learning experiences like this possible.

These students became part of a global learning experience that encouraged them to explore food as a connection to culture, heritage, and identity.
Their Journey, Their Stories
The most meaningful part of the Cultural Cuisine Exchange was seeing students take their learning beyond the classroom.
From discovering international recipes to experiencing the process of recreating a dish from another culture, students had the opportunity to learn by doing, share their experiences, and appreciate traditions different from their own.

Celebrating International Collaboration
At WorldEd Foundation, we believe education extends beyond textbooks and traditional classrooms. When students interact with different cultures, exchange ideas, and learn from one another, they develop perspectives and skills that contribute to a more connected world.
Jawatha Private School's participation represents the value of bringing schools and students together through meaningful international educational experiences.
To Jouhaida Alrawi, the school leadership, educators, and participating students: thank you for being part of this journey!
Different cultures. Shared tables. Lasting connections.
We celebrate Jawatha Private School and look forward to future opportunities to learn and collaborate together.

This feature is part of Our Global Table, a WorldEd Foundation storytelling series celebrating the schools, students, and educators who made the Cultural Cuisine Exchange 2026 possible.
