Aisha and Saja, from Green City International School are weaving connection and empathy into the heart of their school community. Their project will create a vibrant “Belonging Wall” where students can anonymously or openly share short stories, quotes, and drawings about what makes them feel included.

This living display will turn a school hallway into a powerful visual statement: though we come from different backgrounds, we all belong to one united community.

Objectives

  • Promote Inclusion: Give every student a safe space to share their voice.

  • Celebrate Diversity: Showcase the many cultures, perspectives, and experiences in their school.

  • Strengthen Belonging: Foster empathy and mutual respect by learning from one another’s stories.

Format & Materials

  • Kick-off session during homeroom to introduce the activity.

  • Creative design of the Belonging Wall with quotes, art, and photos.

  • A walk-through event where students reflect on the display.

Sharing & Impact

  • Photos and short videos will be posted on social media with #WFUnitedVoices, tagging Green City International School and WorldEd Foundation.

  • Highlighted student stories will inspire wider audiences online.

  • The wall will be updated throughout the year, keeping the spirit of belonging alive long after the milestone is complete.

Target Group

Middle & High School students (Grades 6–12), with potential for adaptation in youth groups, after-school programs, and other community spaces.

Why This Matters

Belonging is not just a feeling—it’s an action. By inviting every voice into their project, Aisha and Saja are showing their peers that each person’s story matters, and together they form a stronger, more inclusive community.
