WorldEd Foundation proudly celebrates Team Cezeri Innovators — İlker Koçer and Poyraz Ada Erdoğmuş from Cezeri Green Technology Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School, Türkiye — for their inspiring project, “Belonging Chain: Sharing Our Stories.”

Guided by their coordinator Serpil Faiz, this team has created a simple yet powerful classroom activity that reminds us that belonging begins with listening.

Through their interactive game, students sit in a circle and take turns passing around a small object. Whoever holds it shares a personal reflection starting with the sentence:

“I felt I belonged in school when…”

As each story is shared, a chain of connection forms—linking every voice, experience, and emotion in the room. The game ends with a short reflection, but the feeling of unity lingers long after.

Objectives:

  • Strengthen empathy and understanding among classmates.

  • Encourage emotional expression and mutual respect.

  • Create a classroom where every student feels seen, heard, and valued.

This activity captures the heart of United Voices 2025’s theme, “Beyond Inclusion: Building Everyday Belonging.” It reminds us that belonging isn’t built through grand gestures — it’s created one shared story at a time.

Team Cezeri Innovators shows that when students open up about what makes them feel connected, the classroom transforms into a true community.

Because when we share our stories, we build our chain of belonging.
