The WorldEd Foundation proudly celebrates Team Zafer For All from Zafer College High School in Ankara, Türkiye, for their inspiring contribution to United Voices 2025: Beyond Inclusion – Building Everyday Belonging.
Led by their coordinator Dilara Benzer, this dynamic group of students — Derin Karakuş, Dilaysu Coşkun, Maya Meriç, Asmin Petekbaşı, Tuna Araç, Yiğit Erva Suna, Çiçek Polat, Duru Tümerdem, Okyanus İncesu, Ecem Kaba, Ece Gerger, and Duru Duman — created a heartfelt initiative titled “The Coffee Break: Let’s Get Together.”
Their project transforms a simple coffee break into something powerful — a space for connection. The idea is simple but profound: bring students together to meet new peers, share stories, and discover common ground through casual, open conversations. By rotating between tables, students engage with one another in a relaxed environment filled with light music, laughter, and genuine dialogue.
At each table, conversation cards spark reflections on daily life, culture, and the question: What does belonging mean to you? These small exchanges build empathy, strengthen friendships, and show how belonging grows through everyday interactions — not just grand gestures.
Their objectives beautifully align with this year’s theme, “Beyond Inclusion: Building Everyday Belonging.”Team Zafer For All reminds us that belonging starts with a smile, a conversation, and a willingness to connect. Their “Coffee Break” concept shows that even the smallest shared moments can create big changes in school culture.
☕ A moment of connection, a lifetime of impact. That’s the message these incredible young changemakers are spreading across their school — and now, across the world.
