Team Pathfinders: Engineering Belonging, One Challenge at a Time

The WorldEd Foundation proudly shines a spotlight on Team Pathfinders from Zafer Koleji, Ankara, Türkiye, for their creative and dynamic contribution to United Voices 2025: Beyond Inclusion – Building Everyday Belonging.


Led by coordinators Deniz Tokinan İnal and H. Asya Geylan, this outstanding group of students — Defne Özay, Duru Karden Kadiroğlu, Erdem Baktır, Farin Rostami, Mert Burak Özer, Tuğhan Benlioğlu, Yağmur Ormancı, Zeynep Aydın, and Zeynep Duru Baskan — are reimagining connection through innovation and movement in their project titled “Engineered Orienteering: Together We Belong, Together We Grow.”


Their mission? To help 9th graders, the newest members of their school community, feel truly part of something — through an engaging, school-wide orienteering event designed to promote teamwork, social interaction, and problem-solving.


The event takes place across the school campus — from the garden to classrooms — where students collaborate to solve challenges, find clues, and navigate their way together. But what makes this project truly special is how it integrates AI-driven personality tests to form balanced, inclusive teams, ensuring that every student is seen, valued, and matched for success.


By blending technology, teamwork, and adventure, Team Pathfinders transforms orientation into belonging in action. As students move through each checkpoint, they are not just finding their way through a map — they are finding their place in the school community.


This project embodies the essence of “Beyond Inclusion: Building Everyday Belonging” — showing that belonging doesn’t happen by accident; it’s designed through intentional connection, creativity, and collaboration.


WorldEd Foundation applauds Team Pathfinders for engineering an unforgettable experience that will leave a lasting mark on their peers — one that proves that when we move together, we grow together.
