The United Voices 2025 movement is proud to highlight Team Bridges to Belonging from Smart Vision International School, Giza, Egypt, led by students Malak Mohammad (16) and Jana Afia (16) under the guidance of Dr. Jouhaida.

Their project, “Pieces of Belonging,” is an interactive two-hour workshop designed for middle school students. Through three creative and reflective activities, Malak and Jana are building safe spaces where everyone feels valued:

  1. Warm-Up: “Find Someone Who…”Students discover connections with peers by finding classmates who share or contrast experiences, opening hearts to both similarities and differences.

  2. Main Activity: “Puzzle of Us” Every student decorates a puzzle piece symbolizing their strengths and values. When combined, the pieces form a large mural — a powerful reminder that every individual is needed to complete the bigger picture.

  3. Reflection Circle: “One Word, One Action” Students reflect by sharing one word that captures their experience and one action they can take to help others feel included in daily life.

Why It Matters: This activity shows that belonging is not just an idea — it’s an action. The workshop demonstrates that everyday acts of inclusion are what make schools welcoming communities. By celebrating both uniqueness and unity, Malak and Jana are setting an example of how youth can lead change within their schools.

We can’t wait to see the Puzzle of Us mural and the ripple effect this workshop will create at Smart Vision International School.
