Team Name: The Community Project

Students: Lama A. & Layla H.

School: Smart Vision International School

Coordinator: Dr. Jouhaida

Country: Egypt

Title of Activity: “Belonging and Inclusion: Everyone Matters.”

About the Project

Team The Community Project from Smart Vision International School created a beautiful classroom initiative that truly captures the heart of belonging and inclusion. Their activity, titled “Belonging and Inclusion: Everyone Matters,” centers on making every student — and teacher — feel wanted, heard, and seen for who they genuinely are.

Through this project, Lama and Layla remind us that belonging isn’t just about being included in a group — it’s about being valued for your authentic self.

Objectives

  • To make everyone feel wanted, heard, and seen as they truly are.

  • To help students feel safe expressing their beliefs and individuality.

  • To spread positivity and increase awareness about belonging and inclusion in everyday school life.

Format: “Hot Potato of Belonging”

During each class, students form a circle and play a simple yet powerful game of Hot Potato. Each round, whoever catches the ball shares why they feel a sense of belonging and something new about themselves — perhaps a cultural detail, a personal trait, or something that makes them proud.

This playful, inclusive activity transforms the classroom into a space of connection, curiosity, and respect. Teachers are invited to join too — because everyone deserves to feel they belong.

Connection to the Theme: “Beyond Inclusion: Building Everyday Belonging”

This project perfectly reflects the Beyond Inclusion theme by showing that belonging doesn’t only come through big gestures — it’s built daily through small acts of kindness and moments of honest sharing. By opening up to one another, the Smart Vision community shows that belonging is created by both our words and our warmth.

Why We Celebrate This Team

Lama and Layla’s initiative is a powerful reminder that even simple classroom traditions can shape a culture of acceptance. Their belief that “everyone matters” shines through their creativity, compassion, and commitment to a more connected school community.

WorldEd Foundation proudly celebrates Team The Community Project for inspiring others to make belonging a shared experience. 💛
